Bear Driver is a four-piece psych pop band from Leeds. Harry and Oli write the tracks. Cassie and Joe contribute their voices and various musical talents. Bear Driver started out early in 2008. In the world of post-university Harry and Oli were living in the same house in Leeds, each with their separate musical projects Crayon (released on The Great Pop Supplement) and Samsa (released on Dance to the Radio). Collaboration seemed inevitable and after a few casual jamming sessions Bear Driver came into existence. To begin with they played as a two piece with a backing track. When Cassie and Joe were recruited later that year Bear Driver became a fully fledged band. 'Paws and Claws' was produced early in 2009 and the official release date is May 23rd 2009. The first track, 'Thousand Samurais' has been played on Radio 6 and 'No Time To Speak' has been played by Steve Lamacq on Radio 2.
