Our History

Founded in 2005, Dance to the Radio launched as a platform for new artists from Yorkshire and beyond — releasing early records from breakthrough acts including ¡Forward, Russia!, The Sunshine Underground, I Like Trains and Grammatics.

The label quickly became one of the UK's fastest-rising independents, home to Platinum- and Gold-selling albums from The Pigeon Detectives and a Gold-selling debut from You Me At Six on the Slam Dunk Records imprint.

Today, Dance to the Radio sits within Futuresound Group — an independent music company spanning record labels, artist management and vinyl manufacturing.

Our Culture

Fiercely independent and artist-focused, we exist to build long-term recording careers — giving artists a platform to make a meaningful mark on culture. We help artists build the worlds around them that forge connections with their audiences.

We back music that connects: art that means something to the people who hear it. Our mission is simple — to soundtrack lives the way music has always soundtracked ours.

Our Approach

No two artists are the same — and no two campaigns should be either.

We bring the full breadth of our experience, resources and contacts across Futuresound Group to build a bespoke, considered campaign around every artist — helping them reach new audiences and grow.
