1. Who we are

This notice explains how Dance to the Radio Limited ("DTTR", "we", "us") collects and uses personal information about fans, customers and visitors to our websites, stores and artist pages. DTTR is the data controller for the information described here.

DTTR is an independent record label, music publisher and artist management company. We are part of Futuresound Group, which runs live events and venues. Futuresound Group has its own privacy notice for ticketing and events. This notice covers DTTR's own activity.

We do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health or religious beliefs) and we do not ask for it.

3. How we use it and our lawful basis

UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each use of your information.

Reply to your questions and complaintsLegitimate interests

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed our interests against yours. You can object at any time (section 9). We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Artist mailing lists and sharing with the Artist

When you sign up to hear from an Artist on our roster, DTTR collects and holds your details. We run the Artist's mailing list on their behalf, as their label or manager.

  • Who you're signing up to. Every sign-up form names both DTTR and the Artist, and says what you'll receive.
  • Sharing with the Artist. We share your details with that Artist (and their management team) so they can contact you about their music, shows and merchandise. The Artist uses your information as a separate controller, and must follow UK data protection law.
  • Only that Artist. Signing up for one Artist does not add you to other Artists' lists. We will only email you about DTTR's wider roster if you ticked a box to hear from DTTR too.
  • Where it's stored. Mailing-list data is held on [name of Sony platform], a secure platform operated by [Sony Music Entertainment UK Limited / name of entity], which processes it for us under a written contract.
  • If an Artist leaves DTTR. The Artist may keep their copy of their list and becomes solely responsible for it. We will stop using your details for that Artist, and keep them only if you also agreed to hear from DTTR.
  • Unsubscribing. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from an Artist's list stops emails from both DTTR and that Artist for that list. You can also email info@dancetotheradio.com.

Bandsintown. Bandsintown is the controller of your Bandsintown account. When you follow an Artist there, we send messages through Bandsintown's own tools; we don't download your contact details. Bandsintown's privacy policy applies, and you can manage follows in the app.

Bandcamp. Bandcamp is a separate controller of your Bandcamp account. See Bandcamp's privacy policy.

5. Cookies, pixels and advertising

We use advertising pixels and tags on our store, on Artist websites we run, and on Artist pre-save and link pages hosted by feature.fm. They only load after you agree through the cookie banner on that site, and you can change your choice at any time.

These tools record events such as page views, link clicks, pre-saves, basket additions and purchases, alongside your IP address and device identifiers. We use this to see which campaigns work, to show Artist ads to people who've shown interest, and to find similar audiences.

For collecting and sending this data, we and the platform may be joint controllers. Each platform then uses the data under its own privacy policy: Meta, TikTok, Google, feature.fm.

You can also control ads through your Facebook ad preferences, TikTok's ad settings, and Google My Ad Center. Full cookie details are in our [Cookie Notice].
